Once again, the Belwood Lake Sailing Club graciously hosted OMDA for the holiday weekend. We had a busy schedule planned, as we were trying to sail both the Derek Clay Single Handed Regatta and the Graham Pilling Provincial Championship Regatta over the long weekend.
The weather held out for the single-handed regatta on Saturday, and we were able to squeeze in 4 races.
Congratulations to Marika, who emerged with first place. It was a tight race for second place between Shelley and Heather: they were tied for total points and tied by the first tiebreaker rule (since they had the same finishes, just in a different order). It all came down to the second tiebreaker rule: who beat who in the last race. Overall a very strong showing from the OMDA women!
Many thanks to Paul Lingen and Allied Brendeke for setting up the course and serving as race committee.

Sadly, there was not enough wind for racing on Sunday, so the Graham Pilling Provincial Championship was abandoned.
