This year's Frostbite Regatta was held on Saturday September 27 at Etobicoke Yacht Club. It was a busy weekend as they were also hosting the Ben Hur Performance Regatta.
It wasn't the prettiest weather and we had to put up with a short spell of rain. In spite of this there was some good wind and plenty of waves to make racing interesting. We set up a course for the Mirrors a little closer to shore so as to keep out of the way of the catamarans. We managed to complete five races, so everyone was able to pretend their worst race hadn't happened!
We had a new racer in the mix: Per Lilholt, from Oakville, joined us for the day.

The Etobicoke Yacht Club donated GUL lifejackets for first and second place. Aleid and Terry are displaying their winnings.
Thanks to Peter Kaiser, Stephen Steel and Rosie Buse for serving as the race committee, and of course to Etobicoke Yacht Club for hosting the event.
After the racing some of us stayed to enjoy a great dinner and evening with the band along with the sailors from the Ben Hur Regatta.
Thanks to Stephen Steel and Derek Pugh for the photos.
